Leaving rainy Howick

This is Eastern Beach, not far from Howick where we spent our first 2 nights in NZ, this is a moment between rain showers, but those clouds lokk like they have lots more rain for us in store! - at this rate we'll come home with gills!

Sad though we are this is one of the reasons we headed back to NZ!, 10 years ago we set off to visit our friends, Mike & Tracey who had emigrated here 2 years prior - jet lagged we staggered into this fish and chip shop and had the most delicious fish and chips ever! ... 3 years later we came back and it was worth it!.

So this time we went back again (with Mike & Jack) and boy - they tasted just as good! - we come a long way for good fish and chips!!

Good bye Howick .... we're off to Auckland - I suspect the weather will be as humid and rainy there too!

Oh well, the flowers are liking the rain!

The Cottage in Howick (Cook Street) - where our hosts Marian & Bert made us very welcome, oh and managed to poison Nige again with a chocolate biscuit! - I suspect it had nuts in it since he began to resemble an extra from planet of the apes rather soon after he ate the biscuit! - hey who needs botox!.
